Covid has had a life-changing impact on our lives â last yearâs first surge took everyone by surprise. However, Denave, as an organization stayed one step ahead in ensuring employee safety by transitioning to work from home business model just before the national lockdown, was announced in every country of its operation.
The return of the second wave was even more devastating. It fell like a lightning and many of us struggled to internalize the chaos. The pandemic quickly spiraled out of control and its second surge took bad to worse forms. There was an enormous rise in the number of infections reported. Denave as an organization realized that the only way out of the pandemic is walking past through it.
Throughout the recent developments, Denave worked hard to uphold the commitments it made to support the employees & customers. Our resilience to adapt and face the bigger challenges thrown by the pandemic stayed rock solid. Denave doubled the Covid-19 relief efforts to protect the health and safety of its workforce.
Denave and its Covid-19 heroes took full control of the situation and provided much-needed support to colleagues, friends, and families. It is at these times that the strength of character of individuals and the organization comes to the fore.
The quick response from our HRD and Infra and Facilities team saw us putting our Denavitesâ interest ahead of everything else. The HRD team set up a #CovidHelpDesk at Denave consisting of volunteers from the HRD team and other functions. The Infra and Facilities team put together a logistics support initiative to enable quick help reaching our Denavites and their extended families and friends.
At a time, which bombarded us with reported cases, information flow, chaos & panic, we dedicated 15 employees (and a few individual family members) across functions as a task force. These valiant Denave employees stepped up and volunteered to help covid impacted employees and their immediate and extended families. Parallelly, our corporate tie-up with Practo ensured access to e-medical services for medical assistance and guidance. Since then, the Covid Helpdesk team is working tirelessly towards the health & wellness of colleagues and their families. The team is connecting with every affected Denavite and their families, providing quick access to validated govt resources for oxygen cylinders, concentrators, hospital / ICU beds, and at times sourcing and making life-saving resources directly available with active logistics support from the Denave Infra and Facilities team.
Our Covid Helpdesk Champs reached out to 204 families in the last month and helped 157 families by providing real-time validated information and services for test booking, hospitals, beds, medicines, daily essentials, ambulance services. lifesaving respiratory aids and more through authorised resources or in the least providing emotional support to people at their most vulnerable emotional moment. An all-time accessible helpdesk was set up to raise concerns/queries related to COVID19. Denave also ensured that a connect to listen & comfort has been made available to employees.
More waves of the pandemic are expected in the coming days. And Denave is fully prepared to push past these obstacles. The determination & valour displayed by our amazing Denavites comes as a testament to our adaptability. The Denave family is indebted to the response and fightback of Covid-19 heroes.
